We are a worker-owned design and communications studio. Our shop was founded in 2002 and is located in downtown Oakland, California. We are committed to providing high-quality visual communications tools to progressive, non-profit, and grassroots activist organizations. We are majority non-cis male and people-of-color owned.

Our web team workflow requires a Project Manager, an Information Architect, a Designer, and a Web Developer for each website we build. We work on multiple projects at a time and each of us usually takes on more than one role per project, so we all have diverse skill sets, such as Design and Information Architecture, or Development and Project Management, etc. This job role requires someone with the ability or interest to take on two or more of the skills necessary for our web process. You can read more about our web workflow here

We are a Mac-based shop. Closed union shop (CWA typographical sector, AFL/CIO). Starting immediately.

This position is full time (37.5 hrs/week). The pay is 24/hr + full benefits. There is a 9 month collective candidacy track to be considered for collective ownership. All collective owners are eligible for company patronage. The position is based on our Oakland office, and is not available for longterm remote working.
