About Our Client

Appleseed is a network of 20 justice centers across the United States and Mexico working together to reduce poverty, combat discrimination, and invigorate democracy. They unite research, organizing, policy advocacy, and impact litigation to build systemic solutions for our communities’ most pressing problems.

Appleseed Network’s digital manual provides concrete steps for individuals and families facing detention or deportation. We designed a website that hosts an interactive form to make the information personalized, organized, and easy to navigate.

Project Highlights

  • Interactive and personalized: The website leads users through a form to create a fully customized PDF manual in both Spanish and English. The PDF is based on the user’s answers, so it contains only the information they need to know.
  • Data stays private and secure: The site does not save any information that could identify the user, such as IP address. The site keeps users’ answers anonymous and then deletes them after a short period.
  • User safety is a priority: An easy-to-reach exit button allows the user to click out of the site at a moment’s notice. If clicked, it purges all the user’s answers and erases the site from their browser history.
  • Easily updated: On the backend, the full PDF is in a cloud-based template so Appleseed staff can make changes as needed.
  • Efficient search function: Users can search the site for specific information without needing to fill out the form or download a PDF. They can also filter content to suit their specific needs.
  • Adaptable search tool: On the backend, Appleseed staff can track popular searches and update their search filters to respond to what their users most need.
