It Takes Roots People’s Caravan

Grassroots Global Justice (GGJ) is a national alliance of US-based grassroots organizing groups building power for working and poor people and communities of color. GGJ sees important connections between the local issues we work on and the global context. Design Action Collective is a proud member of GGJ Alliance.

In July 2016, GGJ organized a People’s Caravan from the Republican National Convention in Cleveland to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. 40-50 frontline community leaders from the US and Honduras, including the late Berta Cáceres’ daughter, Laura Yolanda Zuñiga Cáceres, took part in the caravan.
