This spring Design Action Collective had the honor of supporting a groundbreaking national coalition of labor and community organizations, building on the momentum of the Occupy movement, to coordinate a national campaign against Wall Street’s banks, corporations, and the 1%. This national initiative coalesced into two connected formations: 99% Power, which was the national coalition of organizations and alliances executing actions against the shareholder meetings of worst banks and corporations in the world; and 99% Spring, which carried out non-violent direct action trainings for tens of thousands of people across the country in preparation for the shareholder meetings. Both formations had huge successes.
Design Action Collective is proud to have developed the logo for the 99% Power coalition, as well as designing and programing the coalition’s website www.the99power.com. Design Action also designed a series of posters for the actions against the shareholder meetings of Wells Fargo in San Francisco along with an associated website www.stopwellsfargo.com, Bank of America in Charlotte NC along with an associated website www.bankvsamerica.org, and Walmart in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
